The Sunstriker functions as a visual deterrent system. It consists of a high power diode-pumped solid-state laser system which operates in the visible region of the spectrum. It is a non-lethal system which provides a credible deterrent at distances beyond the range of conventional small weapons. Unlike search or strobe lights the Sunstriker is effective in full daylight conditions.
